Our incredible tale takes place in the Northeastern Pennsylvania town of Mauch Chunk. The undisputed center of the American Industrial Revolution, Mauch Chunk is at the crossroads of the lumber, coal, canal and railroad heart of the United States. It is also the place where the class divide between the haves and the have nots is at its most extreme.

Our story begins with a most unusual geological discovery deep within the bowels of the earth in the Gerard Industries mine known as Summit Run.

Industrialist Nathan Gerard enlists the talented Doctor James Ashton of Philadelphia's Villanova University to further explore this mine in search of an unusual crystal with un-natural properties that could produce untold wealth and power to those who could harness its energy.

Ashton travels to Mauch Chunk with a team of brilliant scientists and is joined by Gerard's "fixer" Peter Black who was rumored to have mercilessly killed his own twin brother during the Civil War.

Numerous inexplicable occurances and a heavy black shroud of mystery greet Ashton and his team each step of the way as they begin a journey that will find them at the crossroads of human history and dominion on earth.
